Category 5 and 6 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Applications.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) is a
technology that allows electrical power to be supplied over Ethernet
data cables rather than separate power cords, minimizing the number of
wires that must be strung in order to install a local area network. The
result is lower cost, less downtime, easier maintenance and greater
installation flexibility compared to traditional wiring.
The STC-PoE Series is designed to
protect expensive equipment and critical data communications from
internally generated transients and noise in a PoE based network. They
are suitable for both Category 5e and Category 6, the most widely used
Ethernet connectivity methods on the market today. Commonly referred to
as Cat5e and Cat6, these methods are defined in ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B
standard for Unshielded Twisted Pair Cabling.
